What is a Long Term Acute Care Hospital?
Long Term Acute Care Hospitals (LTACH) are specialty hospitals designed for patients with acute or chronic conditions requiring extended hospital stays. Often our patients are admitted to our hospital following treatment in a traditional acute care hospital; however, the patient’s conditions no longer require intensive diagnostic procedures. The care provided is more individualized and resource-intensive than is provided in a skilled nursing facility.
How long will I be there?
The clinical complexities of our patients result in a typical length of stay averaging 25 days. Weekly Team Meetings with your treatment team will help guide you through your stay and to help anticipate any discharge needs that you may have in order to assist you in a smooth discharge and transfer to your home or other level of care.
How do I make a referral?
Referral for admission can be made by a Physician, Discharge Planner, Case Manager, or even a family member. Contact our Admission Office to arrange for an on-site clinical assessment, 24 hours/day, 7 days/week.
What insurance do you accept?
We accept Medicare and many private insurance plans. Our admission staff will be glad to assist in verifying your insurance benefits and explaining your options.
